Overview
The residents of West Hollywood, CA have something new to be proud of as the highly anticipated new West Hollywood Park is now complete! Phase II of the project, which completed in September 2021, accompanies the new 75,000 square-foot Aquatic and Recreation Center.
Phase II included expanded green spaces with landscaping, picnic areas, new playgrounds for children, outdoor exercise circuits for adults, and 2 dog parks. The park even incorporates public art and an AIDS Monument, a collaboration between the Foundation for a National AIDS Monument (FAM), artist Dan Tobin, and the City of West Hollywood.
Unique Project Features
SpectraTurf was selected because we are recognized as the industry leader for playground safety surfacing, especially when extensive graphics are specified. The vibrant pastel design of the surfacing captures the spirit of a flower arrangement of wildflowers and provides added engagement for the visitors. SpectraTurf installed over 11,000 square feet of our SpectraPour safety surfacing on the playground, toddler area, and fitness station.
Despite numerous color changes, our precise project management and well-trained technicians were able to confirm that all color panels were installed according to the plan and the client’s desires.
The entire park and surrounding features provide a modern, safe, and inclusive facility for local residences and the many visitors to the area. Be sure to check it out if you’re in the area!
