Overview
The City of Santa Ana is excited to open the Play and Learn Children's Patio at the Santa Ana Main Library. The patio was previously an underutilized, empty space with small patches of grass and concrete. The new site was implemented to create a fully interactive play and learning space for children and families to encourage the community to visit the Library and utilize the newly renovated space. The new patio will bring children and families together from throughout the community to play and learn in a fun and informal setting. Children can participate in a play space that encourages social development, movement, and lots of fun!
Unique Project Features
The Santa Ana Public Library project is part of the REVIVE Santa Ana programming initiatives focusing on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) learning that help support youth and their families in developing skills to live, learn, and work in a technologically advanced society. This surfacing and playground addition project is one of the many program initiatives taking place in Santa Ana that will improve and enhance early childhood development and literacy, support positive educational outcomes for youth, and prepare our community's present and future workforce.
